Over the past day, Ukrainian and Russian forces engaged in 213 combat clashes along the front line, with the highest intensity recorded in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian troops repelled 33 enemy assaults.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook in its 8:00 update on Sunday, June 21, as cited by Ukrinform.
Russian forces carried out one missile strike using two missiles, 85 airstrikes, and dropped 267 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they deployed 10,489 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,030 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements.
In the Sumy region, areas near the settlements of Tovstodubove and Sumy came under aerial attack.
Ukraine’s Air Force, missile troops, and artillery struck 18 clusters of Russian personnel and one Russian artillery system over the past 24 hours.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian forces did not conduct ground assaults but carried out one airstrike using three guided bombs, 78 shelling attacks, and twice used multiple rocket launch systems against Ukrainian positions and settlements.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 10 Russian assaults near the settlements of Vilkha, Starytsia, Izbytske, and Zybyne.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops attempted three assaults toward Kivsharivka, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, and Novoplatonivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian forces attempted to penetrate Ukrainian defenses 21 times, attacking near Druzheliubivka, Yampil, Shyikivka, Olhivka, Novoselivka, Drobysheve, Derylove, and Lyman.
In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops carried out 14 assaults toward Piskunivka, Kryva Luka, Kalenyky, Zakitne, and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, one assault was recorded near Tykhonivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces conducted 11 attacks near Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Kostiantynivka, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the highest number of assaults was recorded, with Ukrainian forces repelling 33 attacks. Fighting took place near Novomykolaivka, Hryshyne, Bilytske, Kucheriv Yar, Shakhove, Novopavlivka, Filiia, Vilne, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Kotlyne, Udachne, Torske, Dorozhnie, Rodynske, Novohryshyne, Hulivka, Myrne, and Serhiivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces attempted to advance twice near Piddubne and Ternove.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian troops launched 23 assaults near Tsvitkove, Verkhnia Tersa, Novoselivka, Dobropillia, Rybne, Huliaipilske, Zaliznychne, Hirske, Vozdvyzhivka, Olenokostiantynivka, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces stopped two Russian attempts to advance near Kamianske and Stepnohirsk.
In the Dnipro River sector, no active offensive operations were reported.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups were detected.
As previously reported, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,391,950 personnel, including 1,290 over the past day.
