Israeli strikes across southern Lebanon killed thirteen people since early on Tuesday, Lebanese state media and medics reported, including a 16-year-old boy killed in a drone strike outside his home. The strikes hit areas in and around the city of Tyre and villages in the Nabatieh region, officials said.

The reported deaths came as the Israeli military issued an evacuation warning for the entire city of Tyre, including its Christian neighborhood, saying it planned to target Hezbollah activity there in the near future.

Gaza Health Ministry demands release of medics detained by Israeli-backed militias

The Gaza Health Ministry demanded Tuesday the immediate release of two ambulance drivers detained by Israeli-backed militias operating in the Gaza Strip.

According to the Health Ministry, seven members of a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance crew were detained while carrying out humanitarian duties on Gaza's key artery, Salah al-Din road. Five of the crew members were later released, the statement said.

According to local reports, Israeli-backed militias set up checkpoints along Salah al-Din road near the Gaza River Bridge. The militants also detained civilians, the reports said.

In April, Haaretz reported that armed militias in the Gaza Strip, backed by Israel, have stepped up their efforts and issued belligerent statements aimed at positioning the groups as an alternative to Hamas.

As a result, Gaza has seen a rise in violent confrontations between these militias and Hamas.

"They've called it quits, so they're gonna just leave each other alone for another week or something," the president said. "They both agreed through me to stop."

Trump said he had a "very good conversation" with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, adding that he "can't blame him" for the latest flare-up between the sides. "He was hit, he hit back," the president said.

Addressing cease-fire negotiations with Iran, Trump said the sides were in the "final throes of what will be a very, very good deal."

According to the president, such a deal would bar Iran from achieving nuclear weapons and would reopen the Strait of Hormuz "right away."
