The driver of the crane truck that collided with a train in the Lviv region died on the way to the hospital.

According to Ukrinform, Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Ukrainian Railways", reported this on Facebook.

As for the injured assistant engineer, according to Pertsovskyi, his injuries are not life-threatening—he has suffered several fractures.

“Depot management is on site to provide all necessary assistance,” noted the head of the Ukrainian Railways.

As reported by Ukrinform, in the Lviv region, a crane truck driver, despite warning signals, drove onto the railroad crossing and collided with a train traveling from Kyiv to Uzhhorod. There were reports of one fatality—the train engineer.
