Israel’s health ministry on Tuesday said that 3,530 people have been injured and taken to hospitals since the start of the war.
The ministry said 86 people remain hospitalised, including eight in serious condition, as the conflict continues to generate casualties across the country.
The leak of the attempt itself suggests a significant possibility that Larijani has been killed or at least wounded.
"There is a wide feeling across the Gulf that Iran has crossed every red line with every Gulf country,” said Abdulaziz Sager, chairman of the Saudi-based Gulf Research Center.
