Russia launches 29 missiles and 480 drones against Ukraine overnight, Zelensky says

On the night of March 7, Russia launched 29 missiles and 480 drones against Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this on Facebook.

According to him, the rubble of a residential building in Kharkiv has been cleared since last night after a Russian ballistic missile strike. The entrance hall was destroyed, and the upper floors of the neighboring building were damaged. As of now, seven people are known to have died. More than ten people have been injured, including children. There may still be people under the rubble. All necessary services are working on site to rescue them.

As Zelensky emphasized, "Russia used 29 missiles, almost half of which were ballistic, and 480 drones, most of which were ‘suicide drones’, against Ukraine. They targeted energy facilities in Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernivtsi regions, as well as the railway in Zhytomyr region. Damage has been reported in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, and Cherkasy regions. The relevant services are working wherever necessary."

“These brutal attacks against life,” the President emphasized, “must be met with a response from our partners.”

He thanked "everyone who will not remain silent. Russia has not abandoned its attempts to destroy Ukraine's residential and critical infrastructure, so support must continue. The PURL program must continue to work just as actively. We are counting on active cooperation with the EU to ensure greater protection for our people."

The head of state expressed his gratitude to everyone who is helping to strengthen Ukraine's defense.

As reported by Ukrinform, an infrastructure facility was hit during a massive missile and drone attack in Odesa.

In Kyiv, the consequences of the Russian air attack were recorded in the Holosiivskyi, Desnianskyi, and Dniprovskyi districts.
