As of the morning of July 10, Russian attacks left consumers without electricity in four Ukrainian regions, while severe weather continued to disrupt power supply in ten settlements across two regions.
Ukraine's state power grid operator Ukrenergo said this in a Facebook post, according to Ukrinform.
"The enemy continues to attack Ukraine's civilian energy infrastructure. As of this morning, consumers remain without electricity in the Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions as a result of enemy strikes. Emergency repair work has already begun wherever the security situation allows," the statement said.
Adverse weather also left ten settlements in the Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regions fully or partially without power as of the morning of July 10. Regional power distribution companies are repairing damaged power lines.
Electricity consumption as of 09:30 on Friday was 1.3% lower than on the previous day. Ukrenergo attributed the decline to clear weather in central Ukraine, which has increased the efficiency of household solar power systems.
The company advised consumers to use high-power electrical appliances between 11:00 and 15:00, when industrial solar power plants operate at peak efficiency.
