Russians hit critical infrastructure in Kherson Oblast: consequences

The Russians have struck critical and social infrastructure in Kherson Oblast over the course of the last 24 hours, damaging three apartment buildings, 12 houses, a veterinary clinic, a car service station and vehicles.

Details: As of 06:00 on 3 April 2026, one person has been killed and 18 more have been injured as a result of Russian attacks, including one child.

Kherson Oblast Military Administration reported that the city of Kherson and the settlements of Antonivka, Zymivnyk, Zelenivka, Komyshany, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Chornobaivka and a number of other settlements in Kherson Oblast came under Russian drone attacks, airstrikes and artillery fire the previous day.

Kherson City Military Administration Head Yaroslav Shanko reported in the evening that water supply disruptions had occurred in the Korabelnyi district of Kherson as a result of the strikes.

Meanwhile, Kherson Oblast Prosecutor's Office reports that at approximately 08:30 on 3 April, Russian forces dropped explosives from a drone onto a fixed-route minibus in Kherson.

"It is currently known that seven people who were in the vehicle were injured as a result of the explosion. Further details are being confirmed," the post reads.

Background:

  • On the night of 2-3 April, Russian forces struck Kharkiv with ballistic missiles, injuring five people, including an infant. An office building was damaged in the Osnovianskyi district. A 70-year-old security guard was injured.
  • One person was killed and three more were injured as a result of a Russian strike on the village of Shostka in Sumy Oblast on 3 April.
  • On 2 April, the Russians struck one of Chernihiv's businesses with a ballistic missile.
  • Russian forces struck a Nova Poshta hub and food warehouses in the city of Lutsk in Volyn Oblast on the morning of 1 April, causing fires.
  • On the night of 31 March – 1 April, it was reported that a Russian drone crashed onto a business in the Myrhorod district in Poltava Oblast.
