Among the new immigrants were children and the elderly, with 4,119 children and teenagers between the ages of zero and 18 and 2,426 people over 65 making aliyah over the past 11 months.
Nearly 20,000 new immigrants have arrived in Israel since last Passover, according to data published by the Aliyah Ministry on Monday.
According to the data, a total of 19,386 people, including 11,216 families, have immigrated to Israel since April 20, 2025.
Among the new immigrants were children and the elderly, with 4,119 children and teenagers between the ages of zero and 18 and 2,426 people over 65 making aliyah over the past 11 months.
The majority of those who made aliyah, over 6,470, came from Russia. The United States was the second most common country of origin for new immigrants, with 3,512 US-natives making the journey to Israel. Over 3,000 new immigrants came from France, 832 from the United Kingdom, 807 from Ukraine, 440 from Canada, and many others came from other countries.
The city that absorbed the highest number of immigrants was Tel Aviv, with 2,807, while Netanya absorbed the second-highest immigrant population, at 2,298. Jerusalem absorbed 2,276 immigrants, and Haifa absorbed 1,661.
Immigration, absorption minister praises 'profound expression of Zionism'
“We are witnessing the exciting choice of thousands of Jews to immigrate to Israel and be part of our Zionist story,” Minister of Immigration and Absorption Ofir Sofer said of the wave of immigration.
“Immigration to Israel in times of war is a profound expression of Zionism, solidarity, and belief in the righteousness of the path.”
Sofer vowed to continue to work with the Immigration Ministry to ensure that new immigrants are able to adequately adjust to their new surroundings and develop a sense of home in Israel.
