Some rights holders are refusing to make changes to their books to bring them into compliance with Russia’s law banning the “propaganda” of drugs, Yevgeny Kapyev, head of the Eksmo publishing house, said at a press conference, the Russian business outlet RBC reported.
“We are in negotiations with them. We will hold in-person negotiations, trying to persuade them to either black out or correct — there are many options,” Kapyev said.
The publisher will try to find a compromise with rights holders, he said. But if a book violates the law, it should not be published, Kapyev added.
