The IDF's discipline crisis needs more than Zamir's words

Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir warned senior command earlier this week that the erosion of values within the military is unacceptable. In his remarks, Zamir pointed to the growing phenomenon of politically themed patches worn by soldiers, rather than apolitical ones, as well as incidents of looting and other breaches of the army's ethical code.
