Details: Syrskyi said he is overseeing efforts to improve the effectiveness of medical support for the troops, primarily on the front lines.
He noted that he has involved military medics at all levels to assess the actual state of capabilities and critical problems.
Quote: "It is important to note that a decrease in the number of severe injuries was recorded in April. A positive trend is also being observed in the reduction of the number of amputations.
This indicates a gradual improvement in the quality of care at the pre-hospital stage, an increase in the level of personnel training and better awareness among service members regarding the timely tourniquet conversion." [Tourniquet conversion is the conversion of an applied tourniquet to a haemostatic dressing or pressure dressing, a process which is time-critical to avoid or reduce complications like tissue damage or limb loss risk – ed.]
