Over the past day, April 21, a total of 231 combat engagements between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian troops were recorded on the front line.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook in its update as of 08:00 on April 22.
The enemy carried out 78 airstrikes, dropping 287 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, Russian forces used 7,067 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,810 shelling attacks, including 65 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Russian aviation struck areas near Yastrubshchyna and Pavlivka in Sumy region; Malomykhailivka, Kolomyitsi, Havrylivka, and Novooleksandrivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region; and Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhna Tersa, Huliaipilske, Dolynka, Polohy, Kopani, Sviatopetrivka, Lisne, Novoselivka, Charivne, Yurkivka, and Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Ukraine’s aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck seven areas where Russian personnel were concentrated, as well as a UAV control point.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out four airstrikes using nine guided bombs and conducted 94 shelling attacks, including three from MLRS.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops launched five attacks near Prylipka and toward Bochkove, Okhrimivka, and Starytsia.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked five times near Novoosynove and toward Kurylivka, Petropavlivka, and Hlushkivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian forces carried out 10 attacks toward Stavky, Drobysheve, Lyman, Dibrova, Novoserhiivka, and Zarichne.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two attempts by Russian troops to advance toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and Riznykivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces attacked seven times near Nykyforivka, Holubivka, Bondarne, Maiske, Vasiutynske, Udachne, and Markove.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 29 attacks near Pleshchiivka, Yablunivka, Ivanopillia, and toward Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Sofiivka, Novopavlivka, Kucheryiv Yar, and Stepanivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 51 assault actions by Russian troops toward Bilytske, Nykonorivka, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Muravka, Molodetske, Novopidhirhodne, Novopavlivka, Vasylivka, and Hryshyne.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked 15 times near Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, Zlahoda, Andriivka-Klevtsove, and toward Kalynivske.
In the Huliaipole sector, 14 Russian attacks were recorded near Zaliznychne, Sviatopetrivka, Hirke, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, and Zelene.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukraine’s Defense Forces stopped six attempts by Russian troops to advance toward Shcherbaky, Plavni, Stepnohirsk, and Prymorske.
In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy carried out four assault actions toward the Antonivskyi Bridge and the islands of Bilohruyi and Kruhlik.
No signs of Russian offensive group formations were detected on the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
As Ukrinform reported, total Russian combat losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, as of April 22, 2026, amount to approximately 1,321,450 personnel.
