President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said Ukrainian weapons have struck an oil refinery in Russia's Ufa for the second time, referring to the strikes as "long-range sanctions". Details: According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian weapons also struck a strategic Russian military industry facility in Penza Oblast that develops and produces components for missiles used against Ukrainian cities. The target is around 600 km from the front line.
"Every day, our plan for imposing Ukrainian long-range sanctions is being implemented. This is an entirely just response to everything Russia is doing against us. Peace is needed, and this is exactly what Russia's leadership must realise. Russia must end its war. And Russia's leadership has every opportunity to do so. I thank every Ukrainian warrior who ensures our long-range accuracy," Zelenskyy said.
Background: On 25 June, Zelenskyy said that Ukraine's defence forces and the Security Service of Ukraine had struck an oil depot in Russia's Krasnodar Krai and two oil refineries in Bashkortostan, around 1,500 km from Ukraine.
