Two people were killed and seven others injured in the Chernihiv region as a result of a combined strike by Russian forces.
This was reported on Telegram by Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.
“Last night, the enemy launched a combined strike on the Chernihiv region. Unfortunately, this attack claimed the lives of two people. As of now, seven people are known to have been injured,” Chaus wrote.
According to him, the Russians attacked Nizhyn, presumably with a ballistic missile and “Geranium” missiles. A 30-year-old and a 60-year-old man were killed in the attack. A 54-year-old man was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds. An elderly woman was injured.
In the Horodnia community, the enemy struck residential areas with “Geraniums.” Dozens of private homes were damaged. Five casualties have been reported so far.
Additionally, a “Geranium” struck a hospital in Semenivka. The medical facility and the boiler room on its grounds were damaged.
Russian “Geranium” missiles also attacked the Snovsk community in the Koryukivka district. Hits on residential buildings were recorded in the villages. Homes, outbuildings, and a passenger car caught fire.
In total, 27 shelling incidents and 54 explosions were recorded in the region over the past 24 hours.
As reported, on April 22, Russian troops shelled settlements in the Chernihiv region 42 times, resulting in one woman being wounded and damage to homes.
