The Israeli military on Saturday said more than 80 fighter jets carried out overnight strikes across Iran, dropping about 230 munitions on what it described as military targets.
The army said the attacks targeted several sites, including an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps military university, missile launch infrastructure and an underground facility used to store and manufacture ballistic missiles.
Explosions were reported in multiple parts of the Iranian capital, Tehran, with state television saying loud blasts were heard across the city.
Several launch sites identified in western and central Iran were also struck in order to reduce the scope of fire directed at the State of Israel.
How can we deal with all this abnormal normality? The constant sirens, the fearsome explosions, of missiles falling, or the IDF’s interception system working but resulting in shrapnel dispersal?
Jerusalem residents faced a Shabbat like no other amid incoming missiles from Iran.
The announcement came as Iran continued to launch attacks in the region in response to US-Israeli strikes on the Islamic Republic.
