National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir continues to publicly support soldiers and police officers suspected of committing crimes during operational activity. But for him, this is just the beginning. He is also trying to enact legislation that would grant immunity to soldiers who break the law while engaged in operational activity, which would significantly restrict the possibility of investigating or trying them for crimes committed during wartime.
