Hungarian foreign minister who worked for the Russians disappears from public view after Orbán's defeat
Hungarian media outlets have noted that Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has been absent from public view since news broke of Orbán's historic election defeat. In particular, he was not at Orbán's side when the latter publicly conceded defeat.

Details: Journalists also note that Szijjártó has been "silent" on social media for over 16 hours – his last Facebook post was at approximately 16:00 on Sunday, urging Fidesz supporters to vote.
That morning, he shared how he and his wife had voted in the elections.
Background:
Szijjártó found himself at the centre of criticism directed at Orbán and his team following the leak of journalists' investigations into his conversations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and accusations that he was passing confidential details of negotiations at EU summits to Russia.
A few hours after polling stations closed in Hungary on Sunday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, after 16 years in power, conceded defeat and congratulated his opponents on their victory.
The opposition Tisza party, led by Péter Magyar, secured a single-party majority and will control over two thirds of seats in Hungary's parliament. Magyar is demanding Orbán's immediate resignation.
Until recently, Orbán's defeat and a convincing Tisza victory – let alone a constitutional majority – did not appear to be a guaranteed outcome. The possibility of securing such an advantage emerged after it became known that government officials had taken actions that could constitute treason in favour of Russia.
