The army says missile and drone launches from Iran are declining and estimates that Hezbollah hasn't fired on the same scale as in the previous war. Based on this, the military is weighing further reopening the economy and will decide by the weekend whether to resume in-person schooling.
The army, however, warns that fire from Iran and Lebanon could escalate and that Yemen's Houthis are likely to join the conflict. It added that Hezbollah has targeted bases and tried to hit Israeli forces operating on the ground near the Lebanese border. Last night's fire from Iran was described by the military as "dribbles" – small, uncoordinated barrages that don't pose a real challenge to Israel's defense systems.
Iran's Intelligence Ministry said Thursday that security forces struck positions belonging to separatist groups allegedly planning to enter the country through its western borders, according to state media.
The ministry said the groups sustained "heavy losses" in the strikes. It did not identify the organizations involved or provide details on the location or timing of the operation.
