Iranian migrants included in planned deportations to Central African Republic
The administration of US President Donald Trump is planning to deport a group of migrants, including Iranian nationals, to the Central African Republic.
The move comes as part of an arrangement that would allow the country to receive deportees from third countries, according to a Reuters report citing sources and lawyers familiar with the matter.
Reuters reported that the group includes two Iranian women who had previously been granted legal protection in the United States.
Details about the timing of the deportations and the legal basis for removing the women were not immediately clear, and US authorities had not publicly commented on the report.
