The fragile ceasefire between Iran and the US is still holding, but tensions remain dangerously high across the region. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has warned Washington against interfering with Iranian commercial shipping, while Israeli attacks across Lebanon continue to kill civilians and fuel fears of wider escalation.

At the same time, diplomatic activity is intensifying, with mediation efforts, ceasefire discussions and new proposals aimed at preventing another major regional flare-up.
