Daria Honchar, 32, and her mother have died in a Kyiv hospital after being injured in a Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of 1-2 June.

Quote: "We saw Dasha at our cultural heritage festival Vidnaideni on 17 May, and two weeks later, on 2 June, she and her mother were injured during a large-scale Russian attack on the capital. They were running to a shelter but did not make it in time... They suffered severe injuries and ended up in intensive care, where they had been fighting for their lives ever since."

Details: A funeral for Daria and her mother will take place on Wednesday 24 June at Baikove Cemetery at 15:00.

Earlier, Iryna Zabudko, a student at the Mykhailo Drahomanov Ukrainian State University, also died in Kyiv from injuries suffered in the 2 June attack.

Background: On the night of 1-2 June, Russian forces launched a combined attack on Kyiv. Five medical facilities and 11 educational institutions were damaged in the strike.
