In the Sumy region over the past 24 hours, 25 people were injured as a result of Russian shelling, including three children.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"As a result of enemy strikes in the Sumy region, 25 people were injured by enemy shelling over the past 24 hours. Destruction and damage to private homes, vehicles, and civilian infrastructure were also recorded," the statement reads.

It is noted that in the Sumy community, 23 people were injured as a result of drone strikes, including three children. Men aged 42, 44, 50, 53, 62, and 88, as well as women aged 30, 32, 37, 43, 43, 47, 47, 53, 54, and 82, sustained injuries; two one-and-a-half-month-old infants, a 59-year-old man, and a 36-year-old woman.

Also affected (acute stress reaction) were a 13-year-old girl and a 79-year-old woman. A 61-year-old woman was wounded as a result of an enemy drone strike.

In the Bilopilia community, a 48-year-old man was wounded by an enemy drone strike; in the Velykopysariv community, a 36-year-old man was wounded.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out more than 90 shelling attacks on 33 settlements in 19 territorial communities of the region.

The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts. The enemy used mortars, artillery, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), FPV drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and guided aerial bombs.

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed, including apartment buildings and private homes, vehicles, non-residential premises, civilian infrastructure facilities, road surfaces, and utility structures.

As previously reported, on the evening of June 27, Russian aircraft struck civilian infrastructure in the Sumy and Vorozhba communities with guided aerial bombs.
