Video: MBDA’s New LCM Mk2 Sovereign Deep Strike Cruise Missile

At Eurosatory 2026, MBDA unveiled its new generation “Land Cruise Missile – Naval Cruise Missile (LCM – NCM) MK2”, the European very long-range and high-performance cruise missile.

In this video, Paul Houot, Product Line Owner, Deep Strike, at MBDA, introduces the new Mk2 variant to us and shares several key features of the Land Cruise Missile.

Integrating the already proven NCM missile with a land launcher, the LCM offers a sovereign capability available in a short timescale. MBDA was showcasing an impressive full scale model of the LCM gound launcher for the first time at Eurosatory 2026. With a range of over 1,000 km, the LCM – NCM MK2 benefits from four major operational advantages:

  • Enhanced capabilities for dealing with jammed environments through a new-generation anti-jamming device;
  • Improved survivability through better stealth and improved flight performance;
  • Increased range;
  • Increased lethality.
  • LCM users will also benefit from the latest technologies that address the specific requirements of ground to air missiles. A first launch system, known as the ‘Ground Launch System’, available from 2029, is being developed based on the existing NCM launch system. Designed to be highly mobile and operational from unprepared positions, LCM can be deployed in battery in less than 15 minutes, with four missiles ready to fire and already loaded onboard. It brings key shoot-and-scoot capabilities.
