Over the past 24 hours, on May 1, 138 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front lines.
According to Ukrinform, this is stated in a Facebook post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the situation as of 8:00 a.m. on May 2.
The enemy carried out 89 airstrikes, dropping 270 guided bombs. The Russians also deployed 9,976 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,379 shelling attacks, including 42 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The Russian Federation’s army carried out airstrikes in the areas of Pysantsi in the Dnipropetrovsk region; Vozdvyzhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Lisne, Kopani, Rivne, Liubytske, Huliaipilske, Mykilske, Vasynivka, Omelnyk, Orikhiv, Odarivka, Zarichne, Shchaslyve, and Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The Air Force, Rocket Forces, and Artillery of the Defense Forces struck a command post, two artillery systems, an air defense system, an ammunition depot, and seven areas where Russian personnel were concentrated.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, three combat engagements occurred; the enemy carried out 100 shelling attacks, two of which were from MLRS, and launched two airstrikes, using five guided bombs.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched eight assaults in the areas of Starytsia, Izbytske, Krasne Pershe, Mala Vovcha, and Fyholivka.
In the Kupiansk sector, the Russian army launched two attacks in the Petropavlivka area.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 13 attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of Ozerne, Druzheliubivka, Lyman, Drobysheve, and Stavky.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped four Russian attempts to advance in the areas of Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Riznykivka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders did not carry out any attacks.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out seven attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, and Ivanopillia.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Defense Forces repelled 27 assaults by Russian troops in the areas of Sofiivka, Vilne, Dorozhne, Nove Shakhove, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetske, Hryshyne, Novopavlivka, and toward Kucheriv Yar, Vilne, and Zolotyi Kolodiaz.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched nine attacks in the areas of Oleksandrohrad, Krasnohirske, Kalynivka, Novohryhorivka, Yehorivka, Sichneve, and Zlahoda.
In the Huliaipole sector, there were 18 Russian attacks in the areas of Varvarivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Tsvitkove, and Dobropillia.
In the Orikhiv sector, the Defense Forces repelled one enemy attempt to advance in the Stepnohirsk area.
In the Prydniprovske sector, Ukrainian units repelled three enemy attacks near Bilohrudyi Island and the Antonivskyi Bridge.
No signs of Russian offensive formations have been detected in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian invaders since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to May 2, 2026, amount to approximately 1,332,950 personnel.
