Over the past day, July 9, a total of 283 combat engagements were recorded between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and Russian invading forces.
Ukrinform reports that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided the update on the battlefield situation as of 8:00 on Friday, July 10, on Facebook.
Russian forces carried out 96 air strikes, dropping 286 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 10,085 kamikaze drones and launched 3,422 attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including 74 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
Ukraine’s Air Force, missile forces, and artillery units struck six clusters of Russian personnel, six command posts, and one other important enemy target.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, there were 16 combat engagements with Russian forces. The enemy carried out 56 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including 12 using MLRS.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions 18 times near Starytsia, Novovasylivka, Lyman, Vovchansk, and Artilne, as well as toward Zybyne, Sheviakivka, Okhrimivka, Hoptivka, and Izbytske.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces launched four attacks toward Kurylivka and Novoplatonivka.
In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 15 times, attacking toward Borova, Stavky, Lyman, Dibrova, Ozerne, Shyikivka, and Druzheliubivka.
In the Sloviansk sector, Russian forces launched 30 assaults toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and Pyskunivka, as well as near Kryva Luka, Zakitne, and Riznykivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops carried out six attacks toward Tykhonivka and near Fedorivka Druha and Nykyforivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces launched 33 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Stepanivka, Toretske, and toward Vilne.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 enemy assault attempts near Dorozhnie, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, Kotlyne, Hryshyne, and Vasylivka, as well as toward Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Bilytske, and Myrne.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces attacked four times near Tolstoi and Nove Zaporizhzhia.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian troops carried out 22 attacks toward Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Zaliznychne, Tsvitkove, Charivne, Hirke, and Verkhnia Tersa.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces stopped five attempts by Russian troops to advance near Shcherbaky, Stepove, Stepnohirsk, and Plavni.
In the Dnipro River sector, Russian forces conducted no offensive operations.
No signs of Russian forces forming offensive groups were detected on the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russia’s total combat losses since the beginning of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, through July 10, 2026, are estimated at about 1,416,280 personnel, including 1,460 troops lost over the past 24 hours.
