Explosions were heard overnight on April 2 in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Part of the peninsula, as well as the occupied Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, were left without power.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel, citing the occupiers' Krymenergo power company.
“Due to technical disruptions in the main power grids, power outages occurred for users in the city of Yevpatoriia (partially) and in the Saky, Rozdolne, Pervomaiske, Chornomorske, and Perekopskyi districts of the Republic of Crimea,” the agency’s statement reads.
It is also reported that the Kirovske Airfield and the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant were under drone attack.
The Russian holding company Rosseti confirmed that power grids in occupied Crimea had lost electricity supply. In an official statement, the company noted that electricity supply to the peninsula and the occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions had been cut off as a result of the drone attack, Crimean Wind reported.
Earlier, Ukrinform reported that on March 30, part of the temporarily occupied Crimea was left without power, including Yalta, Feodosia, and the Black Sea region.
