Russian forces attacked southern Odesa Oblast on the night of 16-17 March, damaging energy, industrial and port facilities.

Quote: "Premises belonging to businesses and some equipment were damaged. Fires broke out at several locations but were quickly extinguished. Luckily, no casualties have been recorded."
Details: The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Odesa Oblast said firefighters had been working simultaneously at several locations. All fires have now been extinguished.
Power outages have been reported in some settlements and critical infrastructure has been switched to backup supply following the attack.
The Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories added that "a barge used in production processes has been hit in Ukraine's south" and some outbuildings at one of the ports had been damaged.
Background:
On the morning of 17 March, Russian forces attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia, injuring eight people.
Since the evening of 16 March, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 178 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas attack UAVs and other types of drones. Ukrainian air defences downed 154 UAVs, but hits were recorded at 12 locations. The attack was ongoing.
