Firefighters have fully extinguished the blaze at the Tuapse oil refinery, the Emergency Situations Ministry’s press service said.
The fire burned for more than a day and a half after debris from Ukrainian drones struck the facility on the morning of April 28.

The first fire, which broke out on April 16, took three days to extinguish; the second, following the April 20 attack, took nearly five days. The fires have caused serious environmental damage, including oil rain and fuel leaking into the sea. Black smoke hangs over Tuapse, and the air smells of burning.
During the most recent fire, boiling oil from one of the storage tanks spilled directly onto one of the city’s streets. Authorities announced that the burning oil spill had been contained only several hours later.
