Odesa hit, maternity hospital damaged

According to Odesa Regional Military Administration head Serhiy Lysak, Russian forces struck civilian infrastructure in the city overnight, including a maternity hospital in the Primorskyi district.

A strike hit the roof of the hospital building, though staff and patients were able to reach shelter in time.

Residential areas were also affected, with damage reported to multi-story buildings, private homes and vehicles across several districts.

Fires broke out in residential areas, including on upper floors of apartment blocks and in the private sector, though they were later extinguished.

Lysak said at least one person died in hospital from injuries sustained in the attack.

A total of 11 people were injured, including a child, with two in serious condition, he added.

Authorities also reported damage to educational institutions and non-residential buildings, while operational headquarters were set up to assist residents.

Ongoing attacks on civilian areas

Ukrainian officials say Russia continues to target civilian infrastructure, including housing, education facilities and industrial sites, as part of its broader campaign.
