In late January, the far-right activist Mordechai David blocked the car of retired Supreme Court President Aharon Barak and vilified him. Not a single Knesset member from the governing coalition condemned the act. Benjamin Netanyahu, who two years earlier had sent Barak to the International Court of Justice to defend the State of Israel, did not find it appropriate to issue a single word of criticism.
