The Ukrainian Air Force issued a nationwide missile threat warning early Friday, after detecting the takeoff of a Russian MiG-31K aircraft.
“All of Ukraine – missile threat! A MiG-31K takeoff has been detected,” the Air Force said in a statement.

Regional military administrations activated air raid alerts across the country, with Ukraine’s digital air alert map showing warnings in every region.
The MiG-31K is Russia’s primary launch platform for the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal ballistic missile.
Local authorities urged residents nationwide to take shelter immediately or move away from windows and exterior walls.
