Ukraine’s air defense forces intercepted or neutralized 113 out of 129 drones launched by Russia against Ukraine overnight from June 26–27.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram, as cited by Ukrinform.
According to the report, the attack began at 18:00 on June 26 and involved Shahed-type attack drones (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera and Italmas drones, as well as Parodiya decoy UAVs. The drones were launched from Russian regions including Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from occupied Crimea and occupied Donetsk.
Air defense operations involved aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
As of 8:30 on June 27, 113 drones had been shot down or suppressed across northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
Authorities reported 13 confirmed drone strikes across seven locations, as well as debris from downed drones falling in three additional locations. Officials warned that the attack was still ongoing, with enemy UAVs still present in Ukrainian airspace.
As reported by Ukrinform, a Russian airstrike on a residential building in Zaporizhzhia injured six people, including a 13-year-old girl.
