US Vice President JD Vance has said negotiations held in Pakistan with Iran did not result in an agreement because the Iranians refused to accept the US's conditions.

Quote: "We have been at it now for 21 hours, and we've had a number of substantive discussions with the Iranians. That's the good news. The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement. And I think that's bad news for Iran much more than it's bad news for the United States of America."

Background:
An Iranian delegation led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf arrived in Pakistan's capital Islamabad yesterday for negotiations with the US. The US delegation was headed by Vance.
US President Donald Trump told journalists the outcome of the talks with Iran "made no difference to him" because Washington had already emerged from the war as the winner.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the military campaign against Iran is not yet over, despite what he described as the "historic results" achieved by the Israeli military.
