War update: 249 clashes over past day, Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors hottest

As many as 249 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders were recorded along the front line on June 28.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Facebook in its situation update as of 08:00 on June 29, according to Ukrinform.

The enemy launched one missile strike using eight missiles and carried out 80 airstrikes, dropping 235 guided aerial bombs.

In addition, Russian forces used 8,682 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,070 shelling attacks, including 53 using multiple launch rocket systems.

Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck five areas of concentration of enemy personnel, two artillery systems, and four Russian command posts.

On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes, three clashes were recorded, with 86 shelling incidents, including six from MLRS.

On the Southern Slobozhanshchyna axis, the enemy launched eight attacks in the area of Starytsia and toward Izbytske, Karaichne, and Vilcha.

On the Kupiansk axis, Russian forces launched six attacks toward Podoly and Novoplatonivka.

On the Lyman axis, the enemy attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 21 times, attacking near Novomykhailivka, Novoselivka, Zarichne, and Yampil, and toward Stavky, Drobysheve, and Lyman.

On the Sloviansk axis, Russian forces carried out 28 assaults near Zakitne, Kalenyky, Riznykivka, and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and Kryva Luka.

No assaults were recorded on the Kramatorsk axis.

On the Kostiantynivka axis, the enemy conducted 15 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Rusyn Yar, Illinivka, Pleshchiivka, and toward Mykolaipillia.

On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian forces repelled 33 assaults in the areas of Shakhove, Dorozhnie, Novooleksandrivka, Vasylivka, Rodynske, Kotlyne, Udachne, Filiia, and toward Vilne, Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Biliakivka, Kucheriv Yar, Serhiivka, Shevchenko, and Muravka.

On the Oleksandrivka axis, Ukrainian defenders stopped six enemy attacks near Vorone, Ternove, Kalynivske, and toward Verbove and Nove Zaporizhzhia.

On the Huliaipole axis, Russian forces carried out 30 assaults near Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, and toward Vozdvyzhivka, Hirke, Novoselivka, Tsvitkove, and Charivne.

No offensive actions were recorded on the Orikhiv and Dnipro River axes.

On the Volyn and Polissia axes, no signs of enemy offensive group formations were detected.
