Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 87 out of 98 drones used by Russian forces to attack Ukraine on the night of April 13.
According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on Telegram.
Starting from 00:10 on Monday, April 13, the enemy attacked with 98 strike UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones, launched from the directions of Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 65 of them were Shahed-type drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 08:00, air defense shot down or suppressed 87 drones in northern and eastern Ukraine.
Hits by 9 strike UAVs were recorded at 9 locations, as well as debris from downed targets falling at one location.
The attack is ongoing, with enemy drones still in the airspace.
As Ukrinform previously reported, a fire broke out at one of the facilities in the Kropyvnytskyi district as a result of a Russian drone attack during the night of April 13.
