A drone struck one of the towers of the residential complex House on Mosfilmovskaya in Moscow, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said, adding that air defense forces had repelled an attack by two drones heading toward the city. There were no casualties.

Eyewitnesses said the drone hit the building around 12:30 a.m. Residents reported hearing a dull thud, after which the building’s fire alarm went off. The Russian Telegram channel Baza reported that the blast damaged the building’s facade, blew out windows, and scattered debris across the surrounding grounds.
The Ukrainian Telegram channel Exilenova+ said the drone was a full-fledged strike drone of the FP-1 type. “This is the first recorded presence of Ukrainian strike drones in the immediate vicinity of the Kremlin in a very long time,” the channel wrote.
Moscow’s Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports imposed temporary flight restrictions overnight. Both were lifted by morning.
