CAE awarded TSTS contract for Royal Australian Navy simulators

CAE has signed a five-year contract to provide technical support and sustainment for the Royal Australian Navy’s (RAN) naval warfare training systems.

The Training Systems Technical Support (TSTS) contract will begin on 1 July 2026, with options for further extension.

The agreement covers technical sustainment of critical training systems for Royal Australian Navy surface fleet platforms, such as bridge simulators and combat centres.

CAE will offer technical support, cybersecurity, and engineering design services from its facilities in Sydney and Perth.

Under this arrangement, the company will deploy a multi-disciplinary team comprising technical, IT, cyber, and software professionals, both leveraging current expertise and creating new, specialised roles.

With this contract, CAE aims to support both initial and collective training for RAN crews, addressing complex naval training requirements in secure environments.

The company draws on a 31-year partnership with the Australian Defence Force and a multi-year record of maintaining over 98% device availability for training assets across the Indo-Pacific region.

Each year, CAE supports Australian Defence Force personnel through an end-to-end training ecosystem, combining domestic knowledge with distributed, data-driven methods.

In 2022, CAE Australia secured a contract to provide essential platforms and systems training to the RAN’s personnel ashore.
